Though Having Heaven is an easy-to-understand, modern-day parable that can be understood and appreciated by someone who is completely anti-religious, or even agnostic, the subject matter it covers is confirmable within the confines of any one religion. In other words, each personally empowering idea that it covers is confirmed, idea by idea (in its footnotes), not just by Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Judaic, Taoist, and Islamic scripture, but by the quotes of more contemporary “mystics,” such as Helen Keller, Albert Einstein, and even a few of Dr. Strassman’s volunteers, students who had been injected with large doses of DMT (Di-methyl-tryptamine) at the University of New Mexico in the early part of the 1990s.

Additionally, since Having Heaven, as an aside, validates all religious philosophy, it thus empowers its reader with the ability to observe a recurring theme that keeps appearing, over and over again, inside everything, from fables to the major motion pictures of today. For example, in as much as The Matrix is a contemporary analogue of the story of Jesus Christ, the same goes for Superman. Just as “kryptonite” represents “pieces of the world” that Superman came from, and that which made him “weak,” Jesus Christ spent just as much energy discussing and discouraging “worldliness,” that which was just another name for his kryptonite.
